Sleep Medicine
Millions of Americans suffer from chronic snoring, including those who sleep in the same
household. Chronic snoring may also indicate a more serious problem called sleep apnea
in which the snorer stops breathing for periods of time during sleep.
We have the diagnostic equipment necessary in our dental practice to work with your
physician in providing the proper treatment for your sleep disordered breathing problems,
commonly known as Obstructive Sleep Apnea. These include pulse oximetry,
pharyngometry, ART, and Overnight Home Sleep Tests.
To check to see if you may have some sleep symtoms, check the symtoms below:
( ) I have been told I snore
( ) I have been told I stop breathing when I sleep
( ) I have jolted awake gasping for breath during the night
( ) I am overweight
( ) I awake in the morning tired and groggy
( ) I have high blood pressure
If you have one or more of these symtoms, sleep issures may be a problem. Consult your
